The Parenting Place
The Parenting Place is a facility designed and run by Parents Inc. to provide support and solutions for all parents. Located at 300 Great South Road, Greenlane, Auckland. We are open Monday to Friday from 8.30am to 5.00pm. The relaxing atmosphere including a superb Allpress cafe is a parenting haven where you can attend one of the many workshops or discover resources from the bookshop. Parenting can be a tough job and The Parenting Place is there to offer, through these practical workshops, information and ideas from both experts and experienced parents.
WorkshopsOur practical workshops for parents run for eight weeks during each school term. The times are designed to work around school and kindy hours, as well as in the evenings to accommodate as many parents as possible. Workshops cover pre-birth topics all the way through to parenting teens.Nursing mothers are welcome to bring their babies, however if they become unsettled this can disturb other participants and we would appreciate it if you would vacate the room to settle your baby. If you need to bring your baby please bring them in their car seat rather than a pushchair to avoid overcrowding in the seminar rooms. We are not licensed to care for children in a crèche setting, but do have toys available for toddlers to play with in the lounge area for short periods of time. Our lounge and large cafe table are available for regular bookings to secure a space for your mother’s group. Phone reception on 524 0025 if you would like to reserve a table or space in the lounge area for your group.

Facilities
We have two state of the art, sound proof seminar rooms. The Hubbard room seats up to 60 people and the McCann room up 40. These adjoining rooms can be opened up into one large room to seat 100 people. Whiteboard, laptop and built in data projector facilities are available in each room. Seating can be set up for board meetings or theatre style for seminars. Hireage is available for whole day or half day (up to 4 hours) or evening. Rates to suit corporate, not-for-profit or community hire and are available on enquiry.
