Israel is co-founder and managing director of Christchurch-based construction company, Buildtech.
Before founding Buildtech, Israel was chief financial officer at Rex Bionics, the world’s first robotic exoskeleton device for people in wheelchairs. Prior to Rex Bionics, he served as director of finance for global software company, Massive Software. Israel spent five years in his early career as a finance and corporate strategy specialist at PricewaterhouseCoopers, where he led the firm’s New Zealand media and entertainment practice.
Israel holds Bachelor Degrees in both Business Management in Marketing and Economics, and Commerce with Honours. Israel is a full member of CPA Australia, and previously sat on the CPA New Zealand Council. He is also on the board of Parachute Music.
Israel lives in Christchurch with his wife Jessica, their three kids and their herd of 23 alpaca.
