Jenny has a primary teaching background and spent three years as a parent educator. Jenny runs workshops at The Parenting Place centre and at Hot Tips events around New Zealand. She is the senior Family Coach, working with existing clients as well as training new coaches. Jenny writes regularly for Parenting magazine and makes appearances on TV 3’s The Café. Jenny has two adult children and is a grandmother of two young children.

Jo recently joined the team at Parenting Place as a Family Coach. She is a qualified counsellor also working in private practice and running groups for tertiary students training to be counsellors. Jo is passionate about supporting couples as they wrangle the pressures of family life together.

James Beck joined Attitude in 2007. He went on to become our South Island coordinator and more recently, the manager of the team of lively presenters. James is strongly motivated to help people realise their full potential, and sincerely inspires them to do so. With passion and his quirky sense of humour, he has delivered presentations to over 200,000 people nationwide, helping them make better choices around drugs and alcohol, sex, depression, youth suicide, technology, social media and getting on with their family.

As a psychologist Karen has worked in private practice and educational and organisational settings. She has an Honours degree in Psychology and a Masters in Gestalt Therapy. Karen is the founder of Hey Sigmund (heysigmund.com), the website dedicated to bringing the science of psychology to the art of being human. She has two children and two stepchildren and lives in Australia.

Grace Nixon, BHSc (Midwifery), otherwise known as The Baby Lady, is an Auckland-based newborn specialist. Using her skills and experience gained both as a midwife and nanny over the past 10 years, she helps new parents prepare and adjust to life with their new arrival. She also runs Practical Parenting Antenatal classes that focus on both birth and life at home with a baby.

She covers a broad range of topics from dyslexia to DIYs, recipes to motherhood, and adventures to quirky kids. She is mum to three and uses all that spare time she has (now that the kids can make their own lunches) to read books and plan parties.

Juliet is the Principal of Saint Kentigern Girls’ School in Auckland. She has taught across all age groups from new entrants to intermediate level at schools in London, Hamilton, Invercargill and Auckland. She has 13 years of experience as a principal in Auckland primary schools and also holds a Post-Graduate Diploma in Education (Counselling).
