Gill Williams trained as a secondary school teacher and taught at a senior level in a variety of Auckland schools for 10 years before starting her true vocation as a full-time mum at home.
She joined the The Parenting Place team in 2003, as area coordinator for Toolbox parenting groups. In 2006, Gill took on the wider role of Toolbox manager, enthusiastically supporting a national team of coordinators and head office Toolbox staff to deliver the four Toolbox parenting courses.
Gill and her team are also responsible for training and approving facilitators for the programme. She is also extensively involved in the development of new Toolbox material, including the Grandparents Raising Grandchildren and Building Awesome Whanau programmes.
Her experience as an active mother of three has contributed to the passion she has to help New Zealand’s families enjoy a rich positive family life. Gill is married to Alan and enjoy the company of their three adult children.
