Leave a gift in your will
We believe family is everything. The future foundation of our nation relies on strong healthy families. If you share this belief and want to make a difference, one way is to provide a gift to The Parenting Place in your will. You can do this by:
- writing a new will explaining how you want your possessions and money distributed
- amending an existing will by completing a special form as a legal supplement to a will
Our thanks to the generosity of others
We are sincerely grateful for the gifts bestowed on The Parenting Place by those who have provided a donation in their will.
Dr Judith McCann (1923-1999)
Dr McCann was the founder of antenatal classes in New Zealand, with the first official classes held in a Takapuna garage in 1955. Thanks to the very generous donation from the Dr Judith McCann Trust, we have been able to honour Dr McCann’s memory at The Parenting Place. Many parents and families have, and will continue to benefit from the hours of informative, interesting and entertaining workshops held in the room named in her honour.
Myra Legg (1921-2008)
A generous gift left by Myra Legg in her will ensured we were able to heavily subsidise our fees to parents, schools and community groups. It also assisted with developing and expanding our range of services to better meet the changing needs of New Zealand families.
You should always seek legal advice to ensure your will is correctly prepared. We know this is a private matter, but if you would like to advise us of your plans, we would love to thank you for your generosity during your lifetime. This information is treated with absolute confidence unless you state otherwise.
