Our latest issue
If you've got girls in your house, we've got a story we know you'll want to read. Australian author and psychologist Steve Biddulph is well known for his book on boys but now he's turned his attention to girls with a new book Raising Girls. In our story he talks about the confusing world our girls are growing up in. It's a world where they're often in a rush to grow up too quickly, but they'll do anything to feel like they belong. Steve talks about the need to build their confidence and self-esteem, so our girls are strong enough to make good decisions both now and in the future.
We also talk with two families who have adopted children from overseas. They speak candidly about what it was like to open their home to children who'd had a rocky start to life.
Remember the old card game Happy Families? It may be a bit of a cliché, but I think we're all looking for a happier home in one way or another. Andrea Stringer, a Family Coach at The Parenting Place give seven tips for a happier family – not the card game type, but a real one that takes everyone's ups and downs into account. It's all about being interested in each other, showing that we care, having fun, and making the most of the moment.

PS. As always, I'd love to hear your thoughts and ideas on Parenting.
